I don't know about you, but I have definitely been feeling the anxiety creeping in, watching the news constantly and desperately trying to keep my family safe, entertained and to not get under each others feet constantly, which got me thinking about how other people must be feeling and coping right now.
I can't begin to imagine how worrying a time this must be for expectant parents (it's scary enough having a baby in normal circumstances); for parents of small children trying to juggle work and 24/7 entertainment without childcare or days out; for our amazing key workers who are out there facing the fear everyday, and for fellow small business owners whose income has just disintegrated overnight.
So, I have set up a Facebook group on my page to try to offer a safe space for parents and parents-to-be to meet and share ideas and positive thoughts, especially during this difficult and stressful time. I’ve also invited some local experts to be on hand to offer advice and guidance. You can join the group here:

I will be collating useful information and posts in the group under a selection of topics including ‘Pregnancy’ and 'New Parents'.
For those of you with young children who are feeling the pressure of trying to juggle work and 24/7 entertainment without childcare or days out, I will be sharing some ideas and tips including simple recipes, colouring in sheets, etc under the topics ‘Recipes’ and ‘Resources’. I am also here for when you just need to vent – please feel free to just pop a little post in the group and I will be ready with a willing ear.
And of course, for our amazing key workers who are out there facing the fear every day, worrying about your own families and seeing some very distressing sights, we cannot thank you enough. If there is anything that people in the group can do to help, please just ask.
I want to fill this group with positive messages, memes and useful information, so let’s work together to create a safe and happy space for everyone.
