In previous posts, I have discussed the safe use of props when photographing newborns. Sometimes, where the baby’s safety cannot otherwise be guaranteed, props must be completely ‘photoshopped’ in afterwards and we use what are known as 'digital props'. I am often asked 'How much space do you need for a newborn baby photo shoot?', and 'Do I need to clear a room?'. I can actually manage in quite a small space, around 3mx3m is sufficient (more is obviously nice, but this is quite workable).
