WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY MATERNITY PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE?

Maternity Portrait Experiences with Babies By Jackie are calm, relaxed and all about your comfort! Jackie's gentle and caring approach encourages mums-to-be to embrace the beauty of their bumps and enjoy showing them off.

How does it work?

At your DESIGN CONSULTATION, Jackie will work with you to create a Style Plan for your images, including colours, posing and family portraits. You can choose from our client closet of carefully curated gowns selected to feel comfortable and flatter your curves.

On the day of your PHOTOSHOOT, Jackie will gently guide and direct you through a variety of poses that flatter your beautiful baby bump and showcase your radiant glow to create beautiful portraits that show the connection between you and your baby.

THE BIG REVEAL

Following your photo shoot, Jackie will select the best images and professionally re-touch them ready for you to view at your VIEWING AND ORDERING APPOINTMENT. 

You will select your favourites and how you want to display them from our beautiful hand-crafted wall art pieces, prints, and albums, all from the world's best suppliers.

And with our specialist design software you will even be able to preview how your chosen artwork will look in your home.

Your Viewing and Ordering appointment usually takes place around two-three weeks after your photoshoot, or if you prefer, you can combine it with the Viewing and Ordering appointment for your Newborn Portrait Experience.

WHEN SHOULD MY MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT TAKE PLACE?

Ideally your maternity photoshoot will be scheduled around 30-34 weeks into your pregnancy, when your belly is lovely and rounded and you are not feeling too uncomfortable to enjoy yourself.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY MATERNITY PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE?

Your Maternity Portrait Experience is usually booked in conjunction with your Newborn Portrait Experience. We recommend booking your Design Consultation between your 12 and 20 week scans.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Maternity gowns for the photoshoot are provided so you don't need to buy anything for the shoot. The maternity gowns are very flattering. They are made with lace and chiffon and are semi-transparent so we suggest wearing your good undies.

We also have luxury lace and silk draping materials for a softer look. 

If you are feeling brave we can also include some beautiful 'nude' images (you can leave your undies on, but we will position your body and use some clever editing so you appear nude), but this is entirely up to you.

For partners keeping things simple works best: a plain white or black shirt or t-shirt with jeans, or naked waist-up. You can even steal his shirt for an intimate portrait or two!

CAN I HAVE SOME PHOTOS WITH MY PARTNER/CHILDREN?

Of course! After all they are also a huge part of your pregnancy journey.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

A Maternity Portrait Experience is £150, which includes the Design Consultation, Full access to our client closet, Photoshoot. Final Image Processing and Rendering, Viewing and Ordering appointment and Final Artwork Preparation.

WHERE DOES THE BUMP PHOTO SHOOT TAKE PLACE?

All appointments take place in the comfort of our custom-built studio in the lovely village of Hemingbrough, where we have everything we need to keep you comfortable.

All gowns are provided for the session, so all you need to provide is the smile!
